Energia Group agrees €50 million bioenergy contract with Ireland waste firm Panda

Irish energy provider Energia Group has agreed a new €50 million deal with waste and recycling firm Panda to process 70,000 tonnes of organic waste.
Waste will be converted into methane-rich biogas, using anaerobic digestion, to generate renewable electricity.
Once fully operational, the plant is expected to produce 4.8 Megawatts of electricity per hour, making it one of the largest anaerobic digestion plants on the island of Ireland….
